Moreira, Paulo | 2018-...

Paulo Moreira | 2018-... is a Porto-based architect and researcher. He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture, University of Porto (Portugal), having studied also at the Accademia di architettura di Mendrisio (Switzerland), and received his doctorate from the School of Architecture, London Metropolitan University (UK), with a scholarship by FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia. He was a post-doctoral fellow in the research project Africa Habitat, coordinated by the Faculty of Architecture, University of Lisbon, funded by FCT and AKDN – Aga Khan Development Network (“Knowledge for Development Initiative” programme). With his work on informal communities in Angola, he was a finalist in the RIBA President’s Award for Research 2019, Cities & Community category, and a recipient of the 2021 Grant to Individuals - Graham Foundation. Moreira edited Critical Neighbourhoods – The Architecture of Contested Communities (Park Books, 2022).
